Last year we had 3 events per class an RTI Ramp judged on a score, Rock Crawl judged on points, and a Rock Race judged on time. This year we will only have 2 because we are combining the Crawl and the Race into one timed event. Last year we gave the top 10 finishers in each event points. We gave 10 points for first, and so on till 1 point for 10th place. Total up each competitors points and the one with the most points won. This year we will incorporate a weighted points system where everyone that competes will get points based on how they performed with reference the leader. If for example we have a competitor that blows the rest of the field out of the water in the timed race and the next guy has a time that is twice what his is. Then the leader will get twice the points than the next guy instead of only 1 point. We think this will make it fair, and also allow every one that competes able to get points as long as they finish the course. We will also weight the race as more value than the ramp when calculating the class winners because we don't believe that someone should be able to blow the rest of the field out of the water on the ramp and come out in the middle of the field on the race and still win the class.

Instead of having separate rock crawl and rock race events, this year we are going to combine them into one event. There will still be an RTI Ramp event, but the main event will be a race with cones on portions of it that will will force you to take certain lines or take a time penalty. We think this will stream line the event and make things easier to score as well give competitors a challenging course that they will have to conquer to come out on top.
